Antium is the ancient name for Anzio, which is a city and comune on the coast of the Lazio region of Italy, about 32 miles south of Rome; Corioli, in ancient times, was a town north of Antium, where the young noble Roman by the name of Gaius Marcus earned the cognomen Coriolanus, by capturing the town during a siege in the year 493 BC.
